About Us

Mr Cowhides is a Los Angeles shop devoted to one material: genuine Brazilian cowhide. Our rugs are hair-on, full-grain hides with smooth leather backing — natural, durable, and completely one of a kind. No two patterns ever repeat, because nature doesn't repeat them.

We hand-check every hide for softness, sheen, thickness, and clean markings before it joins the collection — from classic black & white and salt & pepper patterns to brindle, tricolor, Hereford, and rare natural premium selects.

A photo can only show so much of a hide. Every weekend we hold a sidewalk sale where you can see, touch, and compare the hides in person:
